Are You Ready for a Flood?
Will you listen to God and build a boat or will you worry about what the flesh says and how they react?

Scripture (Genesis 7:23, NKJV):
"So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air."
Devotional:
Before the flood came, everyone though Noah was nuts! Can you relate to that? I know that I could when I sold everything that I could, donated the rest to a battered women's shelter (what ended up not stolen from me), loaded up my car with my dog, myself, what could fit, and left Texas in a heartbeat because my Heavenly Father told me to.
When the flood came, it wiped away everything not rooted in obedience to God, but Noah and his family were preserved because they trusted and obeyed. God's protection doesn't mean the storm won't come - it means we're covered when it does. When life floods around us, we can cling to Christ, our true Ark, who carries us through the waters of judgement into new life.
Questions to Consider:
In the face of the flood, who would you take with you on the Ark?
Has God commanded you to do things that may seem foolish to others? In what ways are you obeying Him?
How can I strengthen my obedience so I remain rooted when the floods of life come?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being my refuge in the flood. Teach me to walk in obedience so I can remain under Your covering when the storms rise. Amen.
