Scripture (Psalm 19:1, NKJV):

"The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. "

Devotional:

When we think about seeking Jesus, we often picture opening our Bible, spending time in prayer, or attending church. Those things are important, but what if seeking Him also means learning to recognize Him throughout our day?

The truth is, God is constantly revealing Himself. The heavens declare His glory. Creation points back to its Creator. A sunrise reminds us that His mercies are new every morning. A storm reminds us that He is still in control. A flower blooming in an unexpected place reminds us that life can grow where we thought all hope was gone.

The more we seek Jesus, the more we begin to notice His fingerprints everywhere. Not because every event is a miraculous sign, but because our hearts become more aware of His presence. We start seeing His provision where we once saw coincidence. We start recognizing His timing where we once saw delays. We start noticing His blessings that we may have overlooked before.

Sometimes we ask God to show Himself, while all along He has been speaking through His creation, His Word, the people He places in our lives, and the countless ways He faithfully cares for us each day.

Maybe today the question isn’t whether God is present. Maybe the question is whether we’re paying attention.

As you go about your day, ask God to open your eyes to see Him. You may be surprised by how often He has been there all along.

Questions to consider:

  1. Where have I seen God’s fingerprints in my life recently that I may have overlooked?

  2. Am I actively looking for Jesus throughout my day, or only during certain moments?

  3. What is one blessing in my life today that reminds me of God’s faithfulness?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Yourself in so many ways. Open my eyes to see Your presence in both the big and small moments of life. Help me to recognize Your handiwork in creation, Your guidance in my circumstances, and Your faithfulness in every season. Teach me to seek You with my whole heart and to notice the ways You are working around me each day. Thank You for always being near, even when I don’t immediately see it. In Jesus’ name, Amen ❤️
