Scripture (Isaiah 26:3, NKJV):
"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in you."
Devotional:
Peace does not grow in confusion.
Many people pray for peace while continuing to entertain the very things stealing it. We cannot constantly feed chaos with our attention, emotions, habits, or choices and then wonder why our minds feel restless.
Chaos is not always loud. Sometimes it looks like:
overthinking
unhealthy attachment
returning to what keeps hurting us
allowing fear, distraction, or negativity to consume our thoughts
The Bible says God keeps in perfect peace the person whose mind stays focused on Him. That means peace is not just something we ask for—it is something we protect through where we place our focus.
Whatever constantly fills your mind will eventually shape your emotions, decisions, and direction.
If we continue feeding confusion, we should not expect clarity.
If we continue feeding fear, we should not expect peace.
Peace grows when we:
step away from unnecessary chaos
become intentional with our thoughts
trust God more than our emotions
stop giving our energy to things that drain us spiritually and mentally
Sometimes protecting your peace means letting go of what keeps disturbing it.
Not everything deserves your attention.
Not everything deserves access to your mind.
Questions to consider:
What am I feeding that may be stealing my peace?
Does what fills my mind bring clarity or confusion?
What would change if I focused more on God than the chaos?
Prayer:
God, help me recognize the things that are stealing my peace.
Teach me to focus my mind on what is good, true, and aligned with You.
Give me wisdom to walk away from chaos and trust You more fully.
Fill my mind with Your peace today. Amen.
